Workshop descriptions 2015

Following teachers have provided a description of their music workshops that will be held during the Nordic Harp Meeting 2015:

  • Eeva-Kaisa Kohonen (Finland): Kantele + harp ensemble
  • Arja Kastinen (Finland): Small kantele improvisation connected to the runosong tradition
  • Maria Ojantakanen (Denmark): Danish ballads and the viking-age lyre
  • Katja Nyuppieva (Finland): South Karelian (Livvi) folk music
  • Henrik “Hummel” & Monica Schön (Sweden): Swedish medieval ballads
  • Anna-Maria Toivonen (Finland): Rune singing, the traditional way to sing ancient Finnish poetry
  • Vincent Michaud (Finland): Gaelic harp and Scottish dances
  • Tulikoira (Finland): Western Finnish folk music and ballads
  • Václava van der Meijs (Bohemia): Harp for beginners

There is also the possibility of an instrument-making workshop with Yrjänä Ermala and Eetu Klementti.
