Jyväskylä is situated in Central Finland and can be reached by plane, train or bus. Jyväskylä has a small airport which is mostly served by FinnComm and FinnAir. Alternatively, you can fly to Helsinki and then continue to Jyväskylä by train: The journey from Helsinki takes from 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 1/2 hours depending on the train.
The venue of the Nordic Harp Meeting 2012 is called “Palokan Pelimannitalo” (Folk musician’s house of Palokka), Saarijärventie 71, 40270 Jyväskylä. This is situated about 5 km from the centre of Jyväskylä, within the reach of public transport (print map or click to view the location on Google Maps).

The hostel which is reserved for NHM participants is situated about 2 kms from Pelimannitalo, but accessible by public transport. Additionally, there will be a special NHM bus available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings (plus Sunday morning) to transport participants to and fro between Pelimannitalo and Laajari.
