Helena Wright was born in Finland, studied teacher education in Göteborg/Sweden and she is now living in Norway. She is a member of Gjøvik spelemannslag and plays a bowed lyre (strykelyre) which she has built herself in the instrument making group at Gjøvik (as you can see about 4:40 in this video).
