Anna-Maria Toivonen is a music therapist, music pedagogue and musician specialised in folk singing. She loves to sing and tell long stories, and especially rune singing is her absolute favorite. At the Nordic Harp Meeting 2022, she will give a workshop on Finnish folk music – from ancient rune singing to newer folksongs.

At the NHM 2015 in Turku, she presented an introduction into Finnish rune singing, the traditional way of singing oral poetry: The poems, meter, tunes, etc.
