Yrjänä and Helka have been to all Nordic Harp Meetings so far, and have
organised the NHM 2009 in Turku, Finland.
Helka plays the harps built by her father Yjränä. Yjränä is artist,
instrument maker and musician specialised on various flutes and bagpipes.
Among other instruments, he has made the beautifully carved harp now played
by Patrik Weckman.
Together, they played and sang the Skeleton Dance at the NHM 2009 (See here for
their version of the tune, and the
Finnish lyrics with English translation.)
Since both know many more songs and ballads from Finland, they will teach us
some of them in their workshop at the NHM 2011.
