Völuspá tune,
Icelandic melody which can be used to sing Völuspá (the first poem from the Poetic Edda).
First published in 1780 by J.B.de la Borde (read
here for more details). Kåre Lie and Maja Marcussen taught this tune
at the NHM 2008 in Lund. You can listen here to Maja's version (in Norwegian).

Icelandic song from the songbook of Ólafur Jónsson á Söndum (1560-1627).

Another traditional song from Iceland, this one written by Eggert Ólafsson
(1726-1768) and sung in tvísöngur style (parallel fifths with
crossing voices). Learned from Bára and Chris at the NHM 2010 in Gjøvik.
Draumkvæði, a
traditional Icelandic dance song which was sung to ring dance (vikivaki).
